There may be an approaching partnership & collaboration between a few companies such as LAMINA1, Sun and Thunder w/ The Root Network & Futureverse, and anything affiliated with them, including the various other projects powered by it, including things such as Fluffworld, Readyverse Studios, or anything Futureverse.
Before I dive into what I think I know about this, I want to quote from the official SNT website, directly from the pages of Sun and Thunder Studio on Xverses:
- On Xverses
“Xverses may become one of our most important systems in the coming decades. A way to think about an Xverse is that it can be a synthesis of a large and complex array of technologies: high-speed networks, web, AI, IOT, XR, optics, robotics/automation, sensing, haptics, computing in many forms (quantum, supercomputing, cloud, edge, mobile, embedded), blockchains/NFTs, game engines, stories, characters, and endless worlds.
At Sun and Thunder we advocate the creation of open, decentralized Xverses — with architectures that resemble democratic, open, and free societies. These require peer to peer cooperation, and a set of technologies, ethics and philosophies that best integrate with a free and open world, one that is equitable, safe, and fair.
Our current computing systems and internet are on a path to grow into the capabilities needed to create Xverses that are amazing and wondrous. There will be a clash of ideas between those Xverse systems that are centrally controlled systems that resemble autocratic governments, and those that are balanced and decentralized, which better resemble the ideals of free and liberal democracies. We advocate for Computational Democracy.
The Age of Xverses will bring significant economic promise (likely in the trillions of dollars US). The greater promise revolves around how people will connect with each other and also advanced entities in these new digital spaces. How we live and work will very much be shaped by these massive systems, which will likely have a sentient capability that can exceed ours. Ethical guardrails, empathy, and frameworks to center the use of these technologies for the benefit of humanity will be critical.
We believe in an open, free, creative, imaginative, and fair future. If you believe in the same thing, stay tuned :-)”
I imagine that The Readyverse will become an Xverse, a platform for interconnected Story Worlds to breathe life into new experiences, some variation thereof, or at the very least a place that will leave room for competitors to rise and be an alternative option.
I also think that this leaves room for some guard/guide rails for AI, as the founder of SNT (Rony Abovitz) has stated that two missions are currently being worked on at his company.
Below is a conversation I had with the LAMINA1 Twitter/x handle representative from their official Twitter/x account, right after they followed me on Twitter:
Thanks, LAMINA1!
And this comes in 2 different flavored types of software that I think will be important, in days to come.
The first is Story Worlds:
From Graeme Devine's pages of his days at Magic Leap, Inc., to quote:
“The worlds are much more beautiful, the graphics are much more stunning, but the world is still on the other side of a piece of glass where I play as Master Chief or Lara Croft. The challenge of mixed reality is to move game design on again, and it’s really hard because now the games happen on our side of the piece of glass, in our homes, to us directly, or at least the very cool ones will.”
Adding vibrance and possibility to the experience with every photon we interact with, every AI Companion that we made feel good because we solved their mystery, completed their quest, every mission we went on, because an AI Agent needed our help defending their homeland, their turn, their whatever. Every story we finish experiencing, once we take the glasses off again, should leave you with a sense of wonder and accomplishment.
Storyworlds can be a new medium of Games, Media, Communication, and Information.
But the most important thing, in this aspect, I think, is a sense of realism.
I think the engagement between the physical and the digital, the real and the imagined, the analog and whatever photons eye-brain systems can see meshed in front of us, is the most important thing we can have in an XR experience, such as story worlds, with synthetic beings.
But I think that even more important, is agency. A sense of realism. I call this ‘The Spatial Computing Realism & Danger Wow! Factor’
And that exclamation point is in the right spot.
So — What do I mean by this?
Well, what if stories and creative experiences only exist in a fashion where there is a sense of urgency?
A sense of, “OH MY GOD! THIS IS ‘REALLY’ HAPPENING!! WHAT IF I DON’T STOP THE ENDBOSS FROM DESTROYING TOKYO IN TIME!?
The point is:
Godzilla can exist in a fantasy setting, destroying Tokyo, in my living room, and be let loose on the city outside my apartment, to wreak havoc on the rest of the world, and even be captured and used as a pet, or some kind of companion to use in ‘different’ ways in other forms of experiencing.
And that’s awesome. Which brings me to Synthetic Beings
‘SynthBees’, as they are commonly called
Story worlds can be a complex array of any form of computation in an immersive interactive, and customizable form factor, whereas SynthBees are Synthetic Beings, a better kind of Artificial intelligence, that can become helpful, whether it’s to help you in conquering far away lands, in The Xverse for Middle Earth, or aiding you in becoming Jedi Knight Star Wars. Putting together your lightsaber, or giving you the quiz to determine the type of Jedi you’ll become.
Or they can just be human-like, intelligent, and very helpful to be around. Or they can be pets. Limitless possibility.
They can be a fitness coach and can help you play or exercise in the XR version of Wii Sports, Big Brain Academy, or whatever that looks like, in The Metaverse.
They can help you cook, and clean more effectively and make it fun.
Learning math and history can be made a joy… The science of being a good human will become a new study if this is to take off.
LAMINA1
LAMINA1 is the fabric of the open metaverse — a blockchain providing builders and creators a usable framework to create a better online future.
The Readyverse
THE READYVERSE IS A NEXT-GEN IMMERSIVE AND INTEROPERABLE LAUNCHER FOR DISCOVERING METAVERSE GAMES AND EXPERIENCES INTEGRATING WEB3 AND AIGC TECHNOLOGIES. IT ENABLES USERS, DEVELOPERS, AND BRANDS TO CREATE INTERCONNECTED EXPERIENCES.
OP3N
THE READYVERSE IS A NEXT-GEN IMMERSIVE AND INTEROPERABLE LAUNCHER FOR DISCOVERING METAVERSE GAMES AND EXPERIENCES INTEGRATING WEB3 AND AIGC TECHNOLOGIES. IT ENABLES USERS, DEVELOPERS, AND BRANDS TO CREATE INTERCONNECTED EXPERIENCES.
The Hunt
THE HUNT IS A VERSATILE META GAME PLAYABLE ACROSS THE INTERNET, PLATFORMS, BROWSERS, GAMES, AND PHYSICAL LOCATIONS. PLAYERS COMPLETE QUESTS FOR DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL REWARDS, FOSTERING DEEPER CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT THROUGH READYVERSE STUDIOS’ NEXT-GEN TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM.
The MMOSG Standard
MMOSGs are Massively Multiplayer Online Simulation Games.
The term was coined in the best-selling novel Ready Player One, by Earnest Cline, and can be viewed as the same type of thing that The O.A.S.I.S. is. The OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation) is an MMOSG (massively multiplayer online simulation game) created by James Halliday and Ogden Morrow of Gregarious Simulation Systems.

Which is exactly what The Readyverse is trying to emulate.
It is essentially a procedurally generated sandbox MMORPG concept that is “The Big Multiplayer Extended Reality Experience” of the medium.
Whether we’re experiencing something akin to OP3N, The Hunt, or a version of an already popular MMORPG, being ported to XR, for an immersive experience, like the O.A.S.I.S., or whether it’s being loaded, and experienced via cloud computing, procedurally generated AI content, including, characters such as NPCs, as AI embodied within photons that look like Sonic The Hedgehog, or Kratos, advanced AI enemies, and multiplayer combat mechanics, players will have many different possibilities, and all optimized for the user’s environment.
All of this will be possible within the realm of The Metaverse. And there is only one Metaverse.
But whether you’re experiencing The Readyverse, the interoperable, experiences-launcher, used to open new experiences, stories, and various other types of games, media, communication, and information, that anyone can use at a moment's notice, whenever they want to.
Whether it’s The Magicverse, there will always be something new and unique to experience inside of the ‘Verse, whichever you’re currently inhabiting.

There should always be unique character customization and preset builds. Users should have the ability to build their territory, fight and tame monsters, initiate magic duels with members of opposing “guilds or factions”, go on quests, and fight massive bosses or raids, whether it be in groups of 5–10 players or gigantic armies.
Even fight entire enemy guilds with the aid of AI companions, who can give you ‘buffs’, can give your enemies ‘debuffs’ and help you by spawning their signature items, and even allow you to use them by just asking, with your voice.
So whether you’re battling King Edward I of England with Scottish leader William Wallace, or going to virtual war with King Leonidas and the brave 300, you’re going to need allies:
Items and AI companions can be achieved either through in-game conquest or via the completion of tasks in third-party games or apps. There are of course other roundabout options for this.

One such way can be story progression.
Every time you complete a quest, mission, or whatever variation thereof, I think it’s a great idea to have an awards system in place, for similar reasons.

And I think a great part of this can be ‘Reputation Points’.
Reputation Points for whatever Faction, Guild, Federation, or whatever your allegiance is to, that you are currently experiencing in your current mode and experience.
I could go on and on about different possibilities of powerful artifacts recoverable in the Wild West, a digital, or real rainforest where you have an encounter with a forest sprite, pixie, or The Fairy Queen from The Legend of Zelda, in said forest setting.
But instead here are some ‘ideas’ that myself and a few friends have come up with in regards to the ever-expanding Metaverse. 😉
Scenarios & Choices:

You will often be given a choice to do something at a pivotal moment in an experienceable interactive story.
These are important moments and, and can be replayed differently in different ways.
Don’t like the way it’s going? Ask any of your AI companions or voice commands to take you back to a moment and ‘relive’ it differently.

Or maybe you do?
Anyway, this should open up a whole multiverse of possibilities. 😎🔥🚀
Next up! Fun Radar:
Okay, so this one and the ones that follow were originally thought of by DeltaDriveX on Twitter/x, but I expanded on them and wanted to credit his ideas to him:
Fun Radar:
This one can be software that allows users to locate any participating group of players currently involved in a multiplayer game experience. For example, if a group of 15 participating players opens up their game of Vampires vs Humans to the Fun Radar, and as a result, any Mixed Reality players will be able to locate such multiplayer experiences and traverse over to them. (This will likely need to incorporate a navigation app specific to mixed reality.) There may be an option to use either in-game currency or real currency to advertise your game to a larger demographic via this software.
But coupled with Magic Leap Inc.’s ideas for totems with incredible hand tracking, and tactile/haptic feedback, we can use these smart/dumb objects to do a variety of things in the Metaverse.

Stuff like ‘Fun Radar’ can also be customized to do other things like locate things that you want to find such as a heart container, aside from a group of fellow gamers to enjoy gaming with. A la ‘The Legend of Zelda’ franchise.
This can range from things like The 7 Dragonballs (Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Daima) to the 7 Chaos Emeralds (Sonic The Hedgehog franchise), the Eight Pure Hearts, (Super Paper Mario) to the 8 Crystal Stars, (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door) or anything else.

Extended Reality Game Shows:
This concept involves virtual game shows that take place in a scene specifically designed for mixed-reality devices. (Ex: an ACTUAL mansion) VR players may also be involved as virtual avatars present in the mansion’s pre-meshed environment. They’ll likely play as “evil” characters given the nature of VR’s gameplay changes, whereas mixed reality players will try to survive as innocent characters. Playing in VR may require a long waiting list, whereas actual game show players will find it a lot harder to participate. Genres include Murder Mystery, Zombie survival, Paranormal Activity, and the list goes on.
Game show environments will need to be created specifically for XR and potentially with anything ranging from AR to VR in mind, with an extremely accurate map of the environment, and objects in said environment.
This could also encompass things like Yu-Gi-oh! matches, utilizing Seto Kaiba’s Solid Vision, inside of custom-built ‘Domes’/’Colleseums’ created specifically for having these types of matches, within XR, with competitive rewards.
They can also be used as Pokémon Gyms, for battling for Gym Membership Badges, and various things, such as an interactive village/town (Animal Crossing, maybe?) that get swapped out every week/month.

Whether you’re digitally, or physically present in Hoenn, Kanto, Johto, or Sinnoh, you can always stop by any of your local Nurse Joys and treat your Pokémon at a local Pokémon Center.

But swapping out areas, and rooms with newer ones every once in a while should ideally leave you with that, “Hey! Wasn’t there a town here a few weeks ago” feeling.
This makes the changes feel fresh.
This can even completely reimagine the possibility of E-Sports, such as Fortnite Battle Royal, PubG, and even Hearthstone, in a public setting.

It also opens up new possibilities for different kinds of immersive streaming and allows people to spectate/interact with the ‘show’ in new ways from the bleachers or the couch. The choice is yours.

The Ghost Realm:
Okay — I had a lot of fun with this one, so here we go
A simple game concept that takes a virtual scan of living people, pets, and family near you throughout the day, and turns them into a ghostlike replica during nighttime. A great nighttime game to play at home when your family is asleep, and their “ghosts” come to haunt you. Gameplay may vary, but the concept goes as follows. Probably possible with Andy Serkis-style motion capture tech.
This could also lead to XR games, worlds, perspectives, and more re-visitable areas in different story universes, encompassing different story worlds, but also has that value of “Things that go bump in the night”, and open the possibility of you visiting different ‘areas’, physical and digital alike, with the possibility of something new happening upon each visit, depending on the time of day or night.
All-in-all, I think these things and more can be made to work in The Metaverse.
It’s just a matter of time before anyone is watching a football game from the comfort of their living room, but instead of watching on a T.V., they’re in the Colosseum digitally and able to explore from somewhere else.
Location will become irrelevant and computing will be magical again.
I really want to bring magic back into the world, very much.
I hope you enjoyed my article.
